Spring Plant Walk
As spring ushers in new growth, many plants are at their most vibrant, making it an ideal time to discover them. The walk includes discussions on the identification of key plants, such as dandelion, pedicularis, cleavers, mugwort, plantain, chickweed, and more. These plants have a wide range of uses—from soothing digestive discomfort to promoting skin healing and reducing inflammation.
Participants will learn how to safely harvest, prepare, and use these plants in teas, tinctures, salves, and other natural remedies. We will explore insights on sustainable foraging practices, the importance of respecting local ecosystems, and how to properly identify plants to avoid confusion with toxic varieties.
The walk offers a hands-on opportunity to connect with the environment, gain practical knowledge, and appreciate the deep history and benefits of herbal medicine. Whether you're a beginner or experienced herbalist, it's an enriching experience that highlights the healing power of nature.
